The Administrations

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. —1 Corinthians 12:4-6

​There are Three Levels of Gifts

The First Level – The Gift of Holy Spirit

13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? — Luke 11:13

​38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. — Acts 2:38

​44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. — Acts 10:45-45

​The first level gift is the Holy Spirit which is the divine seal. All believers are called to be anointed with the Holy Spirit. He is the earnest of the inheritance. 

​The Second Level – The Administrations

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: — Ephesians 4:11-13

The administration which is called the fivefold ministy consist of:

  • Apostles
  • Prophets
  • Evangelists
  • Pastors
  • Teachers

The fivefold ministry is given to accomplish four things.

  1. To equip the saints
  2. For the work of ministry
  3. For the edifying of the body of Christ
  4. To bring us all into the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

​The Third Level – The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

​There are nine spiritual gift that fall into three categories:

Revelation gifts

  • Word of wisdom
  • Word of knowledge
  • Discerning of spirits

​Power gifts

  • Faith
  • Gifts of healings
  • Working of miracles

​Utterance gifts

  • Prophecy
  • Tongues
  • Interpretation of Tongues
