22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. — Mark 11:22-24
Jesus says have in God which means to put your faith in God. That faith in God is from and is of God therefore it is the God kind of faith. You can call it “Imperial Faith”. The God kind of faith or Imperial Faith has the following characteristics.
- It is faith in God
- You can have whatsoever you say
- Does not doubt in the heart
- Believes that those things which were said shall come to pass
- Shall have what things soever you desire when you pray that you believe you received
Faith in God
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. — Matthew 17:20
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. — Romans 12:3
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. — Romans 10:17
The God kind of faith comes from God it dealt to every man through His rhema word. Imperial faith is faith in God based upon the word of God. The God kind of faith is based upon a word of God or a word from God and never based upon the circumstances.
8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. 9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. — Matthew 8:8-13
The centurion had a servant who was sick with palsy and because the centurion had built a synagogue for the Jews, they intreated Jesus to go heal his servant. Jesus agreed and he was approaching the centurion’s home the sent a messenger to Him to speak the word only. The centurion was demonstrating Imperial faith, Jesus called it so great faith. The centurion believed that if Jesus just spoke the word of healing it would be done. The centurion showed Jesus that he understood authority because he was a man under authority and in authority. He understood that authority was commanding power based delegated power. He recognized that all that Jesus had to do speak the word and it would be a command that had to come to pass. Imperial faith believes that whatever God or Jesus says will come to pass.
You Can Have What You Say
20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: 21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. 22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. -[— Matthew 9:30-22
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. — Luke 17:6
With the God kind of faith you can have what you say. The woman with the issue of blood heard about Jesus when she did she said within herself that she would be healed once she touched the hem of the garment of Jesus. After she got to Jesus and touched Him she felt in her body that she was healed of the plague. Jesus also felt power leave him and turned around asking who touched Him. When the woman admitted she had touched him and felt healed Jesus told her that it was her faith that made her whole. She received what she said and because what she said was her faith speaking. She believed she could have what she said. That is the God kind of faith in action. God believes He will have what He says.
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. — Psalms 33:6-9
God made the world with His words with the breath of His mouth. He spake and it was done, He commanded and it stood fast. As children of God we have been given the authority of faith. We have been given the power to have what we say. Words have the power to do three things. According to James words direct your life.
3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! — James 3:3-5
Words direct your life like bits in the mouth of a horse or the helm on a ship. Words have the power to affect your life in three different ways, first negatively, second neutrally, and third positively. Death and life is in the power of the tongue according to Proverbs 18:21. Yours words can be negative, neutral, or positive. They can move you forward, keep you where you are, or take you backwards. You can have what you say, so why say what you don’t want, or what you already have, when can speak what you want. The woman with the issue of blood wanted deliverance from that plague and she spoke according to that she wanted. We will give account for the words we speak.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. — Matthew 12:34-37
Words expose our hearts because out of the abundance of our hearts we speak. Every heart has a treasure and out of that treasure comes forth the words of the mouth. Words bring righteousness or condemnation. The tongue is connected to the heart. According to Proverbs keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. Evil words come from a evil heart, good words come from a good heart, positive words come from a positive heart and negative words come from a negative heart.
Faith is positive expectation based upon the word of God. It is the confidence of things hoped for and conviction of things not seen. Therefore are words should be filled with positive expectation that consist of things hoped for and conviction of things not. Use you tongue to point to where you want to go.
Do not doubt in your heart
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. —James 1:5-8
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.— Romans 14-23
The God kind of faith is of the heart and in the heart. The God kind of faith is void of any doubt. If your faith is mixed with doubt, it is not the God kind of faith. Imperial faith is commanding power and command cannot be mixed with doubt. There are no such things as doubtful command that would be a wish or a hope.
Believes that those things which where said shall come to pass
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; — 2 Corinthians 4:13
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. — Luke 17:6
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. — Job 23:28
The spirit of faith is to believe and speak. Having faith as the grain of a mustard seed you can speak to a tree be plucked up by the root and be planted into the sea and it would obey you. Things obey your words and your words obey your faith. You can decree a thing and it shall be established. Faith believes that your word sets in motion the process that brings what you are saying to pass. Faith releases the coming to pass of that which you speak. Faith filled words taps into the invisible realm to bring that which is not seen into the seen realm. The God kind of faith calls those things that are not as though they were.
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. — Romans 4:14
Shall have what things soever you desire when you pray that you believe you received
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. — Matthew 21:20-22
The God kind of faith believes that whatever desire is prayed is received the moment it is prayed. To have what you pray you must be you have already received it in the realm of the unseen. The God who is invisible answers in the invisible world He dwells. God is spirit and He creates or provides the answers in the spirit and they are brought into the physical realm. All answers to prayers are in the invisible realm. The answers are then transformed in natural realm, the manifestation of those answers are instant or gradual.
