1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.<\/em> 2\u00a0And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.<\/em> 3\u00a0As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.<\/em> 4\u00a0Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word<\/em>. — Acts 8:1-4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200b19\u00a0Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch,\u00a0preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.<\/strong><\/em> 20\u00a0And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians,\u00a0preaching the\u00a0Lord\u00a0Jesus.<\/strong><\/em> 21\u00a0And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.<\/em> — Acts 11:19-21<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200bThere are arose a great persecution spearheaded by Saul of Tarsus.\u00a0This followed the martrydom of Stephen the deacon. Saul had been at his stoning. After the stoning of Stephen’s death a great persecution came to the church at Jerusalem. As a result<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the members of the Jerusalem church were scattered aboard and as they went forth they preached the word. Only the apostles stayed in Jerusalem after the church was scattered. Notice they all went forth preaching because as believers they were given an anointing to preach although some where not called to the fivefold ministry. First Jesus called the twelve disciple that He called apostles sent them forth to preach and heal the sick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200b1Then he called his twelve disciples together, and\u00a0gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.<\/strong><\/em> 2\u00a0And he sent them to\u00a0preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.<\/strong><\/em> — Luke 9:1-2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200bHe gave them power (dunamis) and authority (exousia) over demons and to cure diseases. He sent them authority and power to preach the kingdom of God and heal the sick. The went everywhere two by two preaching everywhere that men should repent and cast out many demons and anointed with oil many that were sick and healed them (Mark 6:7-19). After that Jesus sent seventy laymen to preach and heal the sick<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200b1 After these things\u00a0the\u00a0Lord\u00a0appointed other seventy also,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0sent them two and two\u00a0<\/strong>before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.<\/em> 2\u00a0Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 And heal the sick <\/strong>that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

19\u00a0Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.<\/em> — Luke 10:1-2, 9, 17-19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus desires to give every member of His body authority and power to proclaim His kingdom and to heal the sick. God wants all His children live, operate and walk in the supernatural. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200b28\u00a0And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:<\/em> 29\u00a0And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.<\/em> — Joel 2:28-29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200b16\u00a0But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;<\/em> 17\u00a0And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:<\/em> 18\u00a0And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:<\/em> — Acts 2:16-18<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
