{"id":78,"date":"2025-07-21T20:47:05","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T20:47:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.joel2army.com\/?page_id=78"},"modified":"2025-07-21T20:47:06","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T20:47:06","slug":"led-by-the-spirit","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.joel2army.com\/index.php\/led-by-the-spirit\/","title":{"rendered":"Led By the SPIRIT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>14\u00a0For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15\u00a0For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16\u00a0The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:<\/em> <strong>&#8212; Romans 8:14-16<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u200b<\/strong><em>13\u00a0Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.<\/em> <strong>&#8212; John 16:13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<em>6\u00a0And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.<\/em> <strong>&#8212; Galatians 4:6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u200b<\/strong>The apostle Paul writes that the Sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God leads us by our spirits in our hearts. There are several ways that the Spirit of God leads us with our spirits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Inward Witness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An Inward Perception<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Audible Voice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visions of the Lord<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visions of Angels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirmation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Natural circumstances<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>The Inward Witness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number way God desires to led His children is through the inward witness. The inward witness is a inward knowing. All of the other six ways the Spirit of God leads us is related to the inward witness. What the Spirit directs for us outwardly will bear witness with our inward man the spirit. Jesus was always led by the Spirit of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<em>1Then was\u00a0<strong>Jesus led up of the Spirit\u00a0<\/strong>into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.<\/em> <strong>&#8212; Matthew 4:1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<em>1\u00a0And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was l<strong>ed by the Spirit\u00a0<\/strong>into the wilderness,<\/em> <strong>&#8212; Luke 4:1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bJesus was always led by the Spirit. He followed the Spirit in every thing He did. We called to follow the Holy Spirit like He did.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Inward Perception<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>8\u00a0And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother&#8217;s womb, who never\u00a0had walked: 9\u00a0The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and\u00a0<strong>perceiving\u00a0<\/strong>that he had faith to be healed,<\/em> <strong>&#8212; Acts 14:8-9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u200b<\/strong>Paul had an inward witness that the impotent man at Lystra had faith to be healed.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u200b<strong>Audible Voice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>4\u00a0Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make her three\u00a0tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. \u00a0 5\u00a0While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.\u00a0<\/em> <strong>&#8212; Matthew 17:4-5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bGod sometimes guide us with an audible voice.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u200b<strong>Visions of the Lord<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>3\u00a0And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4\u00a0And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?5\u00a0And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6\u00a0And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.<\/em> &#8212;<strong>\u00a0Acts 9:3-6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bThe Spirit of God also leads and guides by visions of the Lord. The Spirit brought Saul into spirit world but He could not see because he was spiritual dead. Because he could not see he only heard the voice of the Lord.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>\u200bVisions of Angels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, 2\u00a0A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and pray\u00a0to God alway. 3\u00a0\u00a0He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and sayin\u00a0unto him, Cornelius. 4\u00a0And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. 5\u00a0And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: 6\u00a0He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do. <strong>&#8212; Acts 10:1-6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200b<strong>Confirmation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>10\u00a0And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. 11\u00a0And when he was come unto us, he took Paul&#8217;s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus\u00a0saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the\u00a0hands of the Gentiles. 12\u00a0And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem. 13\u00a0Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only,\u00a0but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.<\/em> <strong>&#8212; Acts 20:10-13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200bGod often uses prophets or other ministers to confirm what he placing into the heart of His children,\u00a0through the gifts of the Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u200bCircumstances<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>25\u00a0\u00a0And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 26\u00a0\u00a0And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord&#8217;s\u00a0Christ. 27\u00a0And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, 34\u00a0And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel;
